 Blog Post #2

All in all, I thought the group presentations were well-prepared especially for such an iffy topic but the assignment ended successfully finished by all four groups after following the instructions. The groups did a great job, in my opinion, of reading all their points on the election process in general they skillfully converted what they had learned into a PowerPoint in a matter of a few days.

Personally for me i think i was slightly more nervous for this presentation and presented it kind of worse than the last. A good part of me believes it was honestly due to having to cram information for 3 days and attempt to remember it and combine it with my own knowledge. Something that also completely shattered my entire plan is that i was assigned to do interviews and the only people i was able to interview, i couldn't because as soon as their schedule became free hurricane Milton came that week and school was out for 2 days and my history teacher was gone for the entire week because he had a house in Tampa and went to go prepare it. That set my plan off really bad because then i had to now find other interviews about this topic. I hate speaking in front of people and now having to present a last minute changed presentation, im 99% sure not only the professor but the entire class and my own group was able to tell how unprepared i felt and anxious to present.

Group 1

overall i think group one did good the only thing i noticed is that it felt very individually worked on and not so much as a group which featured Christian Germain, Federico Devers, Angie Gonzalez, Emmanuela Nestan Delva, Fabiana Gonzalez, Fabienne Benjamin, and Allan Lira Salazar.  it was very easy to understand what they were focusing on but i think slides could be more organized and prepped better.

Group 2

Group 2, which includes of Isabel Maestre, Glensys Martienez, Jazmin Sierra, Giselle Schneider, Jancarlos Hernandez, Jade Marquez, and Isabella Clavelo, came next. I thought their presentation was really good overall, and it showed they worked on it together as a team.I believe images were good and  graphs/charts added appeal and gave it a more lively vibe, and the visuals. Additionally, i think it was paced well, and most importantly it felt more informative than argumentative as it shoud. They highlighted some important comments that made the main theme easy to understand and I believe they did a fantastic job of maintaining the focus on it.

Group 3

The members of Group 3 were Jasmine Peraldo, Julia Bojorquez, Jonathan Ruiz, Jeanpaul Figueroa, Kristine Gomez, and Jielianne Rodriguez. Group three's presentation and ideas, in my opinion, were the most captivating and successfully captured the audience's interest. i dont like politics at all bu their presentation captivated me, and I found the details of the history I was able to absorb a lot of information from each speaker's presentation, and the main finding that most struck me was that we usually retain the information that is first offered to us.

Group 4

group 4 is the group i am in and we were the first to present which was slightly nerve wrecking but i think my other members handled it very well. We did a fantastic job of teaching the students about the significance of the electoral vote and college and sophia did an amazing job setting up the slides. I believe  many college students in our class have never voted before and this was a great oppportunity to learn and research about this topic especially since its something currently going on. We provided clear, concise main points and public opinions that might  influence others.

Conclusion

In conclusion, I found it intriguing to both present and watch my classmates' PowerPoint presentations. I feel like this was a good project especially since we're in voting season and explained  various philosophies as well as its many advantages. I hope this project gave people a better understanding of our election process and will maybe even impact their voting decisions applying what my group and others have learned. This motivates me to keep improving my speech and to get more comfortable and prepare myself better for future speeches but im defintely excited about our next project which is about a biography of ourselves.
